Well, today I'm off to Newfoundland (but I'll only actually get there tomorrow. hhhaa :/)

I'm going to stay with my mom for two weeks, and work at the convenience store her and my step dad run. I'm so excited. :]

But at the same time, Kathryn hasn't yet had her baby, meaning I won't be here when little Aubrey is born. And that is quite upsetting. She was due on Monday, and if she's not born before next Wednesday or Thursday, they are going to induce her (which is where they break the sac so her water breaks and initiates labour)

As well, I am sad about leaving my very loving boyfriend for these two weeks.

I will probably update more when I'm in Newfieland.

For a mini anniversary celebration (read: excuse to go see a movie) Joao and I went to go see The Ugly Truth. It was really good. Incredibly funny, and quite close to the truth, if you mash up both of their beliefs and go with something in the middle. lol.

Kathryn's baby is due in 5 days. I wonder when she will actually give birth...... I hope soon, considering I leave on the 13th for Newfoundland.

I'm heading to the lake with  my boyfriend this morning to enjoy the cool water before all the heat breaks loose. I leave next Thursday for Newfoundland, and Friday to Tuesday I work full time, so I want to spend time with my lovely boyfriend. :] And this Friday we will have been together for 7 months.

The sun set tonight amidst a sky of red, and the flames of an all consuming fire. Plumes of ash and smoke rose higher and ever outward till they seemed to fill the sky on all sides.

I watched Braveheart for the first time tonight. It was pretty brutal, and the ending was WOAH.

This is my dear Moon, and you can't see them very well in this photo, but she has black stripes all over her. I can't wait to see what she will look like as a adult.

Also, my boyfriend and I have been talking about our relationship, and we're both super excited to live together for another year and a half to gain "Common Law" status.

I know I don't update anywhere near as often as I should, but .....

First off, my boyfriend is making supper tonight! And it's not just warming up frozen food! : D He's actually making strogonoff on rice, with taco bell style fries on the side. I'm super excited.

My kitty is adorable. She's got an obsession with licking my face (especially my nose), and batting my eye. I got a body leash for her, but she's too small and can step right out of it on it's smallest setting. :/ No outside for Moon yet.

Kathryn's due date is coming up fast (August 10th), and her doctor told her she will probably give birth about a week early! Oh my! I'm so excited to meet little Aubrey Lochall Holden.

I had more to update about, but I think this is all I'm going to write for now (it'll give me a reason to come back on here and write some more.)

We bought a kitten yesterday. SHE'S SO CUTE!

Moon is her name, after Monday being the Moonday in most languages. She's all black right now, and only two months old, but it looks like she might get some grey spots on her (craters? lol)

Pictures soon. And art too. Since we're keeping her in our room till she's a little bigger, we get to spend lots of time with her, and she's already warming up to us. So I'm going to use her as an excuse to do animal art. :]

Also, my lappy is in for repairs, so I'm using Shed's for all of my computerly tasks.

Yesterday was quite a busy day. We went to the lake with  a few international students, I got totally sunburnt, and Shed's paternal Grandmother died. Then we picked up his mom and sister at the Grayhound station and went back to the lake, after breaking the news of the death to them.

We had a roomie finally move in a few days ago. Now the house is full of furniture and stuff.

I still have no job. Blah. Trying to sell my duct tape wallets on e-bay, but some guy's E-store is stealing all the customers. lol

I'll just have to make something better.

I've been meaning to buy a ten-gallon tank for my hermit crab. He needs more room to live/play in. He gets so bored in the one he's in right now, and just sleeps all the time. I don't want to lose him, especially now that he's the only one I have.

So a day or so ago, I decided I'm going to make a tank for them. I'll get the dimensions for ten-gallon tanks, and make my own out of Plexiglass and Silicone. : D And it's going to be more like two five-gallon tanks, since I'm putting a piece of Plexiglass down the centre to make it have two different environments for the little guy to play in.

Crabs need deep sand to dig and bury themselves in for when they are molting, or upset. So one side will have sand in it, along with the food and water dish. And the other side will be bark and other climbing stuff for a fun and interaction playroom that I can constantly change around to keep it exciting. I'll probably get another Hermie as well, so they can play together.

I'll post pictures when I'm finished. I'm getting the materials tomorrow, and depending on what Shed and I end up doing when we get home, I might get started on it tomorrow.

The shelving here is what inspired my Crabitat. Sheldon is so obsessed with exploring both of these compartments individually, that I got to thinking about a divided crabitat.

I've got tonsillitis again. And an ear infection. What else is new.

All I've been doing the past four days is watching CSI and CSI: NY. laaame.

but they're soooooo goooooood. ;o;

I was never that into them before, so they were all new episodes, and Spike TV plays like, 6 hours of it.

I hate being sick.Everything I eat wants to be thrown back up again, and three hours after I had broccoli and cheddar soup, I could still taste it when I swallowed. EEEWWW

Well, enough about Sicky McGee.

I hope no one else is sick.

oh. P.S My mom spent another night in the hospital last night, when she mixed Benylyn with her anxiety meds. It's like ODing. D: Rough times. Two near heart attacks in six months. Tip from the doctor: if your not sure whether you can take regular cold medicine, do this. 1) For a sore throat, take honey. 2) For a stuffy/runny etc nose, use the nasal sprays.

Other than that, I'm good.

I might be getting a job at the local grocery store, but it's no guarantee. It would be nice to be able to bring home groceries more often. lol

Today there were some wicked storm clouds coming our way, but by the time they got to us, it was hardly even enough rain to fill a bucket. D: I want THUNDER and LIGHTNING!

Oh, and I coloured a very old artwork from about three years ago, and am just waiting to hook up a printer/scanner to my computer so I can submit it. :]
